We recommend that you and your travelers sign up for All-Inclusive Insurance through EF. Our experienced group leaders find that this gives both themselves and their travelers peace of mind.

All-inclusive insurance for travelers

Comprehensive and affordable, EF’s recommended insurance plans allow travelers to explore the world without worry. To purchase, they can log in to their personal online accounts or call our customer service department at 1-800-665-5364. All-inclusive insurance for group leaders

As an EF Group Leader you’ll have plenty to think about while on tour, and coverage in the event of an unexpected incident shouldn’t be one of them. That’s why we encourage you to put your mind at ease with the following comprehensive and affordable insurance options available to all EF Group Leaders.

Medical and Accident Insurance This insurance is complimentary for all EF Group Leaders and covers hospital bills, doctors’ fees and medical transportation for illnesses acquired during your tour. In addition, the insurance company will pay for transportation and lodging expenses for two of your relatives to be at your side in the event of a life-threatening condition that requires hospitalization. The combined coverage for these services is a maximum of $35,000.

Baggage and Property Insurance This insurance provides coverage of up to $2,000 for baggage and up to $1,000 for valuable property for the duration of your tour. It also covers the loss of cash (up to $300), airline tickets and other valuable documents (up to $500). Should baggage be delayed more than 24 hours (except on the way home), your extra costs will be covered (up to $90). The price of Baggage and Property Insurance is $45 for all tours. (Purchase by one day prior to departure.) If you’re a Silver, Gold or Platinum group leader, this insurance is complimentary.

Flight Delay Insurance (2011 & 2012 tours only)

Coverage up to $200 per day ($400 maximum) for expenses due to flight delays (lodging, food, and other reasonable expenses) as well as a refund for every full land day missed of your tour (2 days maximum) due to flight delays or cancellations.

Tour Cancellation and Interruption Insurance This protects your cash stipend should you or one of your free places have to cancel from your tour. It also covers your expenses if a medical emergency makes it necessary for you to return home during your tour. The Tour Cancellation and Interruption Insurance is $60 for all tours and can be purchased until 75 days prior to departure. This insurance is complimentary for Gold and Platinum group leaders.

In the event of an emergency, EFEKTA representatives are available at 1-800-871-9211, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Your EF Tour Director can contact EFEKTA for you.

These insurances are underwritten by Efekta Insurance International Ltd., F.B. Perry Building, 40 Church Street, P.O. Box HM 2062, Hamilton HM HX, Bermuda, through a Master Policy issued to EF Cultural Travel Ltd., registration # 35879. The information above is a summary.
